Where have all the Sisters gone?
Several years ago I read a report on the declining numbers of women religious in the United States. Needless to say, I found the contents of the report very disappointing. Everyone in the Church today knows that vocations are down but the statistics don’t really have the same impact as seeing it for yourself. I cannot forget this graph.
The Second Traditional Latin Mass at St. Bartholomew in Katy
Following on the success of our first TLM, we are already planning to have another in July. The Mass will be a Votive Mass for the Deliverance from Death in Time of Pestilence and will be celebrated Friday, July 17th at 7:00 P.M.
We hope to see you there!
The First Traditional Latin Mass at St. Bartholomew in Katy
On June 19, 2020, for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the first Traditional Latin Mass according to the 1962 Missal was celebrated at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church in Katy, TX. It was a joyful event with our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Ricardo Arriola, as the celebrant and the church at full (reduced) capacity. Deo Gratias!
Traditional Latin Mass in Legos
I recently found a site dedicated to illustrating the Traditional Latin Mass with Legos. The site is very well done, comprehensive, and even includes instructions for creating your own Lego vestments. Definitely worth a visit.
Corpus Christi Processions
Every year I look forward to the feast of Corpus Christi and it’s associated Eucharistic processions. I wasn’t able to attend the procession at our parish this year but I did find some spectacular images from a procession in Valencia in a previous year.
How an Altar Server stays fit during Corona Virus
